A germ is a dangerous living substance which can be easily capable of catching the diseases in the human beings. Germs are found everywhere in the world. There are four types of germs and how long do germs live on surfaces are explained below:1. Viruses: - Viruses get inside the cells of human beings, and they grow and develop in the living cells. Virus does not stay long on the surface. If the enters the living cells of the human beings, plants and animals, they may spread and infected many diseases like flu, measles and chicken pox.2. Bacteria: - Bacteria is small little creature that develop in the environment. Environment may be outside, or inside the human body. Bacteria can survive for long time on the surfaces. Bacteria may cause of ear infections, sore throats, and pneumonia.
3. Protozoa loves to live on the moisture and mostly spread infections through dirty water. Diarrhea, belly pain and nausea are caused by it.4. Fungi have made up of multi - cells, they love to stay in dark places. They get their food from animals, plants and people.If germs infected you, they stay in your body for longer period of time. They get food from our body, and reproduce themselves. They act as poisons in our bodies. Fevers, coughing, diarrhea and rashes are common infections of germs. The germs are the most common mean of transmitting infectious disease from one individual to another.
How long do germs live on surfaces is that depend on the type of germs. Some germs like fungi and viruses are easily resistant in their favorite environment.  Would you believe E.coli can normally survive for 60 days in stainless steel surface. They live more comfortably in winter seasons.
We can protect ourselves from Germs. Mostly germs travels in air. When we breathe, we should put a tissue paper against our nose and mouth. Some Germs travels through blood, saliva and sweating. You can infect by touching, hand shaking with infected person. Wash and clean your hand with medicated soap or hand wash after shaking hand with infected person, and even when you prepare meal. Throw the tissue in the bin, after using it. Eat fresh vegetables and fruits especially in winter season, and drink mineral water or boil the water for drinking.You can easily prevent yourself from Germs.
